With decreased SNAP benefits, more recipients are turning to private brands, while only 15% of those surveyed said they are not cutting back on spending at all.
Americans ordered fewer groceries online in May compared to the same month last year, as online grocery sales made up just 12% of total grocery sales for the month.
The new survey from Wildfire Systems found that almost half of respondents said they spent less on non-essential items like travel or dining out in 2022 than in 2021.
