Fall private brand finds

Store Brands in the Wild identifies merchandising and ads for two retailers that highlight limited-time fall innovations.

Store Brands in the Wild made fall shopping trips to Aldi and Target, spotting some limited-time own brand items on display.

From Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, Target highlighted items to support Latino Heritage Month, teaming up with Latino creators and entrepreneurs for the Más Que collection of exclusives.

In a Target in Evanston, Ill., Store Brands in the Wild spotted a nice display calling out the collection and organizing themed items all in one place. The rack was positioned next to the retailer’s All in Motion own brand apparel.

Throughout the year Target celebrates diversity through products produced by diversity suppliers, including collections earlier for Pride Month and Black History Month.

Aldi
Getting into the Halloween treat spirit, Aldi sported new snacks in its Aldi Finds section of an Aldi in Chicago, highlighting in its case displays Benton’s pumpkin face creme cookies as well as a new Clancy’s Milk Chocolate Toffee Pretzels. Two items that bring some innovation to the fall treat season.

The retailer also on Instagram had a series of ads spotted in the feed touting its clever tagline, “Shop Differentli,” playing off the Aldi name. The ad had four images showcasing new, interesting store brand items like Keto ice cream, Angus beef patties and organic products at the chain.

The retailer has a steep following on Instagram, including influencers spreading love about the chain so Instagram ads are a nice fit into the feed.
