After announcing its Black Friday deals with perks for Walmart+ members, Walmart is expanding its delivery capabilities for the holiday season. The three new updates include extending store delivery hours, adding more delivery windows through service providers, and increasing the number of items available for delivery.

“Ultimately, we’re giving customers more of what they need,” said Tom Ward, SVP of Last Mile, Walmart’s delivery service. “More time, more availability and more items, so they have more time for what they want: more celebration, more joy and more ways to live better.”

Other recent holiday announcements by Walmart include an exclusive collaborative merch hub with Netflix, and the return of its top-rated list of toys.

The three additions are aimed at better serving customers’ growing needs as many will soon begin their holiday shopping. Walmart will extend store delivery hours nationwide by two hours until 10 p.m. local time, which allows customers to place orders up to 6 p.m. local time for same or next day delivery and have additional time to amend orders once placed. The expansion will also allow additional time for customers to amend their orders after it is placed,

The chain will also add more delivery windows for customers through the service providers that drive on Walmart’s delivery platform, Spark Driver, who now have the option to shop and deliver select orders. If existing delivery timeframes are full, Walmart can continue offering customers the delivery times they need.

Finally, Walmart will increase the number of items available for delivery from more than 2,800 local stores including oversized items such as bicycles, 70-inch TVs and artificial Christmas trees in addition to alcohol, which will now be available for pickup from 3,000 stores and delivery from 1,500 locations. In particular, the chain has a large assortment of own brand decorations.

All U.S. store locations will close for Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25. Pickup and delivery from stores will operate as normal the day before Thanksgiving and will resume at 12 p.m. local time the day after.
