TXB Adds Limited-Edition Pulled Pork Items for Summer

Texas-based convenience chain TXB is teaming up with a local meat supplier for a limited run of pulled pork items available through August. The retailer, which offers an array of private label items, is now serving five items featuring Austin Blues’ smoked pulled pork.

“TXB is constantly looking for ways to innovate our menu with a Texas twist,” said Kevin Smartt, CEO of TXB. “That’s why we chose to source our freshly smoked pork from Austin Blues. We are committed to carefully selecting and sourcing quality ingredients for our menu to give our guests fresh, value-packed meals.”

Smartt was named Convenience Store News’ Retailer Executive of the Year in 2021.

The new TXB pulled pork items include the following:

o    Cubano Quesadilla ($5.50) – A traditional Cuban sandwich with a Texas twist with ingredients like smoked pulled pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles and mustard on a freshly grilled flour tortilla.

o    Pork n Mac Sandwich ($6.00) – Smoked pulled pork, mac n cheese with a hint of boom-boom sauce on a warm brioche bun.

o    Pork Egg & Cheese Taco ($3.50) – Smoked pulled pork, eggs, cheddar-jack cheese and pico de gallo on a fresh grilled flour or corn tortilla.

o    Smoked Pork Meal Kit ($7.00) – Pre-made take-home meal for one that includes smoked pulled pork and a side of mashed potatoes, mac n cheese and complete with a roll.

o    Big Tex Hand-Made Burrito ($2.00) - A huge, Texas-sized burrito stuffed with smoked pulled pork, fluffy rice, beans and cheese.
