Tops doubles rewards to schools through store brands
For the month of January 2021, Tops Friendly Markets is doubling rewards toward participating local schools when shoppers purchase select store brands.
Loyal shoppers of the East Coast retailer who are enrolled in the Tops in Education Program (TIE) can double up rewards that they’re earning for a school they’ve selected throughout the month when they purchase products under the TOPS Brand, Full Circle, TopCare, Tippy Toes, Simply Done, That’s Smart or Best Yet products. Shoppers just need to use their registered Tops BonusPlus Card and they can earn up to 10% back that goes to their selected schools; they can choose up to three schools to donate to.
This month, the retailer is running a clever digital advent calendar program that's featuring store brands, too.
“As we enter into the New Year, Tops wanted to help our local schools start it off on the right foot,” said Kathleen Allen, senior manager of community relations for Tops Markets, Williamsville, N.Y. Since the program’s inception in 2012, Tops has donated more than $1.1 million to more than 1,100 participating schools. Last year, the program raised more than $161,000 for area schools.
Shoppers not enrolled in the program can register at topsmarkets.com/education to select a school and learn about school fundraisers.
“Tops in Education’ helps our shoppers support the youth of their communities,” said Allen. “This program fulfills a promise to our shoppers, a promise that helps them receive a fantastic value while helping provide funding to educational programs in the towns that we serve.”
