The partnering with Sesajal will make items available for store brands. Sesajal has worked with Rhythm before and is a leading producer of vegetable oils, gains, seeds and other flavor ingredients. It’s the largest avocado oil producer in the world and largest producer of sesame oil in North America. As part of its focus on identifying and investing in better-for-you food brands, Sesajal acquired a 50% stake in Chosen Foods in 2015, before ultimately acquiring the rest of the business in 2017. Chosen Foods is the leading producer of 100% pure avocado oil and the creator of avocado-inspired cooking sprays, mayos, dressing, simmer sauces, guacamole and salsa. The company just introduced its guac and salsa.
“Sesajal has been an invaluable partner of Rhythm Superfoods for a number of years,” says Scott Jensen, CEO of Rhythm Superfoods. “Their strategic counsel and mentorship has allowed us incredible opportunities to increase distribution as well as drive growth across multiple categories. We hope to continue leveraging Sesajal’s support to reach many more U.S. consumers and continue with new product innovation.”
Iñigo Gonzalez, CEO of Sesajal added: “We’ve watched this brand grow, evolve and consistently deliver on developing innovative superfood snacks that align perfectly with Sesajal’s mission of bringing more better-for-you products to the masses.”
