A spicy pickle-flavored salt is back from Twang Partners and it is available to be developed under a retailer’s private label brand.

The San Antonio-based company is most known for its branded Twang Beer Salt, a citrus-flavored salt, as well as other flavors like a Michelada Mix, Clamato Salt and more for beverages and food. First released in 2014, the company’s Twangerz Hot Pickle Flavored Salt has returned in a new 1.15 oz shaker jar. The company said fans of the product requested its re-emergence. The look of the package meets the brand's 2019 rebrand of its Twangerz Classicz product line. The flavor comes in a pack of three that retails online at the Twang website for $6.

Representatives of the company told Store Brands it is available to be developed under a retailer’s private brand looking to innovate with a new product. The spices category has been strong in 2020, with shoppers gravitating toward two innovative seasonings from Trader Joe's — Everything But the Bagel and Everything But the Elote.

The Hot Pickle Flavored Salt is made with natural pickle flavor and jalapeño peppers that give the blend an authentic spicy flavor. The product can be added to kick up a variety of different snacks or beers, Twang said.

“We love engaging with our fans and we’ve noticed a consistent demand for the Hot Pickle Twangerz flavor to return,” said Elysia Treviño-Gonzales, CEO of Twang Partners. “We look forward to bringing this back for loyal supporters of Twang and we’re excited to introduce the flavor to new fans of our products.”
