Perhaps those in the industry fearing another trade show cancellation can rest a bit easier: The Private Label Manufacturers Association released a “save the date” for its upcoming Private Label Trade Show, Nov. 15-17, in the Chicago area.

The organization released a brochure for the event and announced registration begins June 1.

It’s been a tumultuous few months for the events industry, forcing to postpone shows or cancel them altogether due to safety around gatherings during COVID-19. PLMA postponed its March leadership conference until October, and moved its World of Private Label event to December.

The PLMA 2020 Private Label Trade Show is being touted as “celebrating 40 years of store brands success.” The brochure looks back at the long history of the show when it began in 1980 in a small hall of a Ramada Inn near O’Hare International Airport; it hosted 55 company booths. Today, the show’s grown to showcase nearly 3,000 exhibitor booths, drawing more than 5,000 visitors from around the world.

To attend, the organization said to email [email protected] or call (212) 972-3131; to exhibit, email [email protected] or call the same number. There is no word yet on special seminars, keynote speakers.
