As with conferences and exhibitions all around the country, the Private Label Manufacturers Association has postponed its 2020 Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference, which includes its annual Hall of Fame ceremony, due to concerns with the coronavirus.

The event was to take place March 26-29 at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale, Ariz., and will now run Oct. 5-6 at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill in conjunction with the PLMA’s Annual Washington Conference. The Hall of Fame ceremony is expected to be held during this conference.

Brain Sharoff, PLMA president, said in an email to registrants and guests that the event was being postponed “due to the spread of coronavirus and uncertainty about the health and safety of participants.”

The PLMA conference is not alone in its cancelations. For a list of other postponed and canceled events, see this coronavirus follow up in Store Brands and this running update in Progressive Grocer.

The upcoming March issue of Store Brands will feature a profile on the 2020 Private Label Hall of Fame inductees.
