PLMA conference to focus on building better manufacturer-retailer partnerships
The Private Label Manufacturers Association released more details regarding its spring leadership conference, offering an agenda of educational sessions around building stronger relationships between retailers and private label manufacturers.
PLMA’s 2020 Annual Meeting and Leadership Conference will be held March 26-29 at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale, Ariz. A full agenda and registration form is available here.
Notable learning sessions on the agenda include a first day of sessions from Ken Harris, managing partner, Cadent Consulting Group, providing new research from Cadent on the profitability from store brands but also how the studies highlight a need for manufacturers and retailers to form a closer working relationship. His session will be followed by a talk from Nancy Cota, vice president of product management at Albertsons, which will add a retailer’s perspective on the issue, and then a session by Tom Ewing, former director of T. Marzetti Co., providing a manufacturer’s perspective.
The first day of education rounds out with Seth Mendelson, editor-in-chief, Store Brands, moderating a session with conference attendees on the best ways to tackle any issues between private label manufacturers and retailers.
The conference also includes updates on the PLMA, a Board of Directors meeting, networking events and a Hall of Fame breakfast, sponsored by the PLMA and Store Brands, inducting private label leaders who have had a major impact on the industry.
