Lowe’s awards top vendors
Part of an annual recognition of its vendor partners, Lowe’s has recognized one of its store brand suppliers — Monopy — with a 2020 Vendor Partner of the Year award in the home decor category.
Lowe’s has been taking home decor more seriously, recently rolling out an innovative promotional program with clothing designers showcasing some of its home goods during New York Fashion Week.
Monopy, based in China, is an exclusive supplier of Lowe’s private brand toilet products. Lowe’s recognized the supplier for its ability to be fast and nimble during the COVID-19 pandemic, and for bringing innovative, trend-forward products to the fashion bath department. “Monopy’s partnership is key to Lowe’s private brand evolution,” the company said.
The supplier beat out other vendor partners for the top honor in the home decor category such as American Plastics, Surfaces, Whirlpool Corp. and WM Barr.
Other winners included Altman Specialty Plants in the hardlines category and Reliance Worldwide in building products.
Altman is the largest grower of cacti and succulents globally, producing more than 1,600 varieties and is the only supplier to serve every Lowe’s store in the United States. The supplier earned the top spot over divisional winners Carbroil, Chervon and Hillman.
Reliance was recognized for its push-to-connect plumbing products and its SharkBite line. It topped other companies like ECMS, GE Lighting, Siemens, Sunbelt and Union Corrugating.
