Lowe’s unveils home goods for Fashion Week

The three designers showcasing Lowe’s home goods as the backdrop for their New York Fashion Week shows have offered a first look at the items they will be using to decorate.

The items are available to buy Sept. 8, and the fashion shows will be Sept. 15, viewable on the Lowe’s Twitter and Instagram channels.

Among the three designers — Jason Wu, Rebecca Minkoff and Christian Siriano — many store brands or exclusive items are being used to help curate their visions. The partnership, while unexpected, is an innovative way to bring home goods into high fashion. The curated items inspired the designers, and in turn, the designers have aimed to inspire Lowe’s shoppers by presenting the retailer as a place for fashionable home decor.

Of the dozens of items used by each designer, 15 exclusive or store brand items made the show, headlined by Lowe’s home decor line Allen + Roth.

Each designer went for a different theme with their curation. Wu was styling a tropical feel to his space, while Minkoff was feeling love for her home of New York. Items used in the show cover all elements of decoration: rugs, furniture, tables, lamps, pillows and more.
