Newark, N.J.-based Jersey Famous Foods will be adding several private brand food manufacturing contracts that take effect in February.
“Many of our clients require food manufacturing assistance — ultimately producing their own food products or private label versions of our empanadas and food entrées,” said Chris Consorte, managing partner for the company, in a statement. “We can easily expand production — with room to grow in our facility — and we can quickly add shifts to our production schedule.”
Jersey Famous Foods’ core food manufacturing capabilities focus on 10 varieties of empanadas and 4.5-pound food trays that include chicken, beef, pork and vegetarian entrées. However, demand is high for USDA-monitored food manufacturing facilities that have third-party private brand food production capabilities, the company stated.
“We are working with top-tier brands — with serious retail presences — and it’s exciting to be able to partner with them and manufacture their high-quality products for their end-users,” Consorte said.
