G.S. Gelato is nearing completion on the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., which when complete will give the company 65,000 square feet of space.

The 25,000-square-foot addition includes dry and frozen warehouse storage, allowing the private label supplier of gelato, sorbetto and non-dairy frozen desserts to increase production capacity and overall efficiency. When completed, the company expects to add about 30 staff members to support operations.

“When we came here from Italy in 1996, we knew in our hearts that one day gelato would be the evolution of the ice cream industry,” said Simona Faroni, co-founder of G.S. Gelato, along with her husband Guido Tremolini. “We began with just 1,000 sq. ft., and when business rapidly grew, we chose a new location with plenty of space to ensure room for future growth. The expansion will enable us to successfully meet the growing demand for our products and to better serve our customers around the nation.”

In March, Tremolini was one of 16 honorees in the Private Label Hall of Fame Class of 2023, presented by the Private Label Manufacturers Association and Store Brands. He was named one of four Private Brand Innovators.
