Fuchs North America, a wholesale and private label provider of seasoning and flavor solutions, has announced its newest slate of products. The Southern Inspirations collection is made up of four different seasoning blends that have been inspired by traditional Southern recipes.

The new Southern collection joins Fuchs’ other unique product flavors available for private label use such as their Mouthwatering Mashups collection and the Rise & Dine collection. Earlier this month, the company announced the hiring of a new director of operations- Shara Birchfield.

“With travel still being limited during the pandemic, food is a way for consumers to explore new places,” said Shannon Cushen, Fuchs’ director of marketing. “As a result, interest in regional cuisines and flavors have grown astronomically over the past couple of years. Southern cuisine has emerged as a standout among regional American cuisines. We wanted to bring authentic Southern comfort dishes to life through this innovative seasoning collection.”

The four items in the new Southern Inspirations collection are the Hoppin’ John Seasoning, the Pot Likker Seasoning, a Chicken Brine and a Sweet Tea Milkshake mix.

Fuchs’ Hoppin’ John Seasoning is a balance of savory and spicy notes from ingredients like dried red and green bell pepper, onion, celery and jalapeno. Once the seasoning is combined with rice, black-eyed peas, and water, its “craveable” flavor comes out.

Featuring bold garlic and hints of onion, the Pot Likker Seasoning aims to bring maximum flavor to greens. Also known as Pot Liquor, this Southern item is traditionally made from the remaining flavorful liquid after simmering a pot of greens. Fuchs aimed to capture the flavor in the new seasoning.

Fuchs’ Chicken Brine was created to be another simple, yet flavorful seasoning that puts herbal extracts in the spotlight. The flavor packs a punch with its warm spices and herby notes, and was created specifically for chicken, but can be added to any protein.

Finally, the new Sweet Tea Milkshake mix includes a natural tea flavor, as well as hints of lemon and monk fruit. As a milkshake, it aims to bring a delicious creamy taste to a Southern staple.

“With Fuchs, you can expect results-oriented support that’s focused, flexible and responsive,” said Ken Wuestenfeld, vice president of sales and technical services at Fuchs. “We innovate for you- from our marketing insights to R&D expertise, we support you through all stages of the product development cycle. Our regulatory and quality experts are on-hand to ensure that the end result meets your desired specifications.”
