For the fifth consecutive year, Aldi is partnering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) to help find a cure for childhood cancer, and is releasing new lemon-themed items as part of the initiative.

During the month of June, Aldi will donate 50 cents for every bag of ALSF-branded bag of lemons sold, up to a $1 million dollars to ALSF. Since 2019, the retailer has donated $5 million dollars to ALSF and has committed to raise $10 million by 2027.

The group is one of the leading funders of childhood cancer research in the United States, and was founded after Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer, wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer by setting up a lemonade stand, eventually reaching the goal of $1 million.

On June 14, Aldi is celebrating the partnership by releasing several new products for shoppers to make lemonade stands of their own. New items include PurAqua Lemonade Drink Mix, Crofton Glass Beverage Dispenser, Moser Roth Lemon Chocolate Truffles, Sundae Shoppe Alex’s Lemonade Stand Bars, reusable shopping bags and more.

Through the first half of the year, Aldi and other discount retailers have seen gains in traffic as more consumers look to save. The retailer continues to expand its store count as well, with the latest stores opening in Maryland and Ohio.
