The states of Maryland and Ohio will soon be home to new Aldi stores as the grocery retailer has set two grand openings as May turns into June.

On May 31, the Maryland community of Fort Washington will be home to its first Aldi store. Open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily, the first 100 customers through the doors will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of Aldi fan favorites and a gift card as part of the grocer's Golden Ticket card giveaway program. Shoppers during the grand opening may also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card.

“We’re excited to open our first ALDI store in Fort Washington and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping,” said Jeff Baehr, Frederick regional vice president for Aldi. “

On June 1, Aldi will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location in North Canton Ohio. The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m daily. The first 100 customers in the new location will receive a gift card as part of the Aldi Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card during the opening weekend from June 1 through June 4.

Corey Stucker, regional vice president for Aldi, noted the new store expands the grocer’s presence in the community located to the south of Akron.

“We have served this community for more than 33 years and are excited to continue to offer North Canton residents an affordable way of shopping,” he said.
