Whole Foods Market is expanding its presence in Southeastern Florida with a new Miami store that is scheduled to open on June 26.

The 53,400-square-foot location at 2910 Biscayne Boulevard is just blocks off the Intracoastal Waterway and in a neighborhood bordered on the north, west, and south, respectively, by I-195, I-95, and I-395. The store will be open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Additionally, the Miami store’s product assortment will feature more than 500 local items from more than 130 Florida suppliers, sourced with the help of Dustin Kennedy, forager for Local and Emerging Brands at Whole Foods Market

The décor inspiration for the new store celebrates the spirit of the surrounding Miami area. Drawing from Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District, its bold fashion scene, and its signature bright, beautiful colors, the store reflects the city’s dynamic energy. Elements of local flora and fauna are seen throughout the space, with subtle bird motifs adding to the design.

Features of the new Midtown Miami store include:

  • Full-service seafood counter featuring only sustainable wild-caught or Responsibly Farmed seafood and a large selection of pre-seasoned and marinated ready-to-cook items.
  • Full-service coffee bar featuring Cuban-style coffee drinks, including the Cubano, Cortadito, and Café con Leche.
  • An array of certified organic, conventional, and Sourced for Good produce.
  • Specialty department dedicated to celebrating cheesemakers and artisan producers. The department will also feature a cheese counter overseen by trained cheesemongers who can offer recommendations for any occasion.
  • A curated grocery section filled with exclusive brand favorites and local products.
  • Full-service meat counter, with butchers available to cut steaks and poultry to order. Features include in-house dry-aged meat selections and in-house-made sausage.
  • Extensive selection of more than 240 craft beers and ready-to-drink cocktails, and more than 700 wines.
  • A Prepared Foods department featuring fresh pizza, food bars, soup selections, made-to-order sandwiches, and sushi made fresh daily from Sushi Maki.
  • Bakery department offering breads baked fresh daily, as well as everyday favorites, such as Whole Foods Market’s Berry Chantilly Cake and brown butter cookies. The department also carries a wide variety of special diet items.
  • Whole Body department with a large assortment of wellness, beauty, and lifestyle items.

As part of the store’s grand opening celebration, Whole Foods Market will provide a food donation to The Caring Place, a nonprofit that makes regular surplus food pickups from local Whole Foods Market stores to help prevent food waste and serve the surrounding community. This organization previously received a refrigerated van from Whole Foods Market.

This food donation is part of Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need. Whole Foods Market will also donate to area organizations, Urban Oasis Project and Lotus House
