Home retailer West Elm, a Williams-Sonoma, Inc. brand, has launched a new 41-piece, limited-edition home collection in collaboration with interior stylist Colin King.
The Colin King Studio for West Elm collection includes furniture, lighting, textiles, and decorative accessories that celebrate “natural materials, timeless silhouettes, and artisanal craftsmanship,” utilizing materials such as ceramic, stone, linen and wood. According to the retailer, standout items include the Iron Taper Holders ($29-$39), Centerpiece Bowl ($199), Ceramic Table Lamp ($249-$299), Floor Planter ($299), Coffee Table ($799) and the Kirkwood Sofa ($3,299).
“As admirers of his work, we are thrilled to be working with Colin on this beautiful and thoughtful assortment,” says Day Kornbluth, president of West Elm. “The Colin King Studio for West Elm collection marries his refined aesthetic with our modern voice.”
For King, the relationship between objects in a room tells a story, as detailed in his recent book Arranging Things, and each piece in the new West Elm collaboration is designed with “layering” in mind,
“Together with West Elm, we’ve created versatile everyday treasures, including accessories, seating, and lighting,” he said. “Thoughtfully conceived and finely crafted, they’re pieces that will add intrigue and beauty to any room—whether standing on their own or mingling with others. All of them share a refined spirit rooted in texture, materiality, and form. But don’t think of this collection as one self-contained world. Think of this collection as catalysts to reinvent a room, as sparks for fresh conversations with existing objects, and as ways to tease new meaning from your own surroundings.”
