Vallarta Supermarkets teams with influencer on limited-time agua fresca

Ericka Sanchez developed a recipe for an exclusive agua fresca beverage with orange and cantaloupe flavors.

Vallarta Supermarkets has added an agua fresca beverage to its own brand portfolio, developed by author and Vallarta influencer Ericka Sanchez.

The limited-edition beverage is Ericka’s Agua de Melo y Naranja fresca with flavors of orange and cantaloupe and sweetened with agave syrup.

The beverage under the Vallarta Supermarkets brand joins the several aguas frescas made daily at the retailer’s La Isla in-house juice bar, and this new flavor is a creation by Sanchez that will be available at all of its 52 stores throughout California. The beverage is available July 7 through the month of August.

“I've been a loyal Vallarta Supermarket customer for many, many years,” said Sanchez. “They have the best produce and dry ingredients that I use to develop my recipes, including the recipes I feature in my books. It's an added treat to be an ambassador and share my new recipe with my fellow Vallarta shoppers.”

Born in Mexico, raised in Texas, and current Los Angeles resident, Sanchez has a passion for Latin food and drinks, the retailer said. Her new book “Aguas Frescas and Paletas” reflects her cultural connection through traditional aguas frescas and frozen treat recipes that she puts her own innovative twist on.
