Tulkoff rolls out chimichurri sauce

Tulkoff Food Products, a condiments producer of more than 400 unique items has a new herbed sauce — Original Chimichurri Sauce — and it's available to retailers to partner and develop under their store brands. 

The sauce comes largely in response to a growing need among foodservice operators looking for ready to use, pre-made sauces that promote efficiencies, consistency and food safety in the kitchen. The Original Chimichurri Sauce is a pre-made refrigerated product and ready right out of the container. 

“We have seen more and more chefs needing pre-made sauces that cut down prep times, are consistent with each menu application and promote food safety with minimal interactions,” said Phil Tulkoff, president of Tulkoff Food Products, based in Baltimore. “From a competitive standpoint, we have only seen a few other brands manufacturing this item, and all our frozen with as little as a couple of days’ worth of shelf life or its made daily by the chef. Our product is as close to a freshly made chimichurri sauce, ready to use straight out of the resealable container with a 6-month shelf life.” 

Tulkoff’s Original Chimichurri Sauce is kosher and does not contain gluten, high fructose corn syrup or trans fats. The product is sold in a 32-ounce pack size with a six-month refrigerated shelf life.

The sauce joins other foodservice items under Tulkoff like horseradish, garlic, ginger, pesto, seafood sauces, flavored butters, assorted aiolis in a variety of pack sizes and are available for private label for foodservice operators and distributors. Additionally, Tulkoff Food Products private labels and co-packs products for foodservice distributors and foodservice groups as well as national retailers and retail brands.
