Trader Joe's Unleashes Pumpkin Treats
A host of new products have rolled into Trader Joe’s stores and with the calendar having flipped to September it’s no surprise that many of the featured items have a connection to pumpkin.
In the grocer’s 2024 Fall Fearless Flyer, many new items were showcased, allowing shoppers to quench their thirst for pumpkin flavor. Below are several products that have what in recent years have become a very familiar flavor profile on store shelves.
Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Flavored Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate is made with 100% Arabica beans that are cold brewed up to 24 hours to highlight the coffee’s fruity notes. Featuring a classic Pumpkin Spice blend, the base brew is rounded out with a bit of orange peel, resulting in a coffee that’s teeming with pumpkin spice flavors. The 32 fluid-ounce bottles are priced at $8.99 each, or about $1.12 per cup.
Pumpkin Spice Cookies
The Petite Pumpkin Spice Cookies are crafted of a pumpkin-spiced shortbread dough that bakes up crunchy, crispy, and crumbly. Once baked, they’re then coated with either white or orange icing. The white icing has a tangy yogurt base, and the orange icing furthers the foray into pumpkin spice territory. The white pumpkins are dotted with orange nonpareils (sprinkles), while the orange pumpkins are studded with white nonpareils. Returning for their ninth pumpkin season at Trader Joe’s, these kosher-certified Petite Pumpkin Spice Cookies are offered in a 10-ounce box for $3.99 each
Pumpkin Loaf
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Loaf starts with pumpkin puree and includes various spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and cloves that intermingle with notes of vanilla to create the classic spice profile one would expect to find in autumnally-inspired baked goods. The loaf is topped off with a layer of crunchy sugar and a generous dusting of aromatic, fall-forward spices. Each 15.25-ounce loaf is priced at $4.99.
Gluten-Free Pumpkin Streusel Muffins
Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Pumpkin Streusel Muffins are made for the grocer by a baker who specializes in gluten-free products. Each muffin is made with a blend of white and brown rice flours, corn starch, and tapioca starch. Giving the muffins their fall-focused flavorings are pumpkin purée, cinnamon-sugar pumpkin spice bits, and a crumbly, spiced streusel topping made with brown sugar, butter, oats, and more pumpkin spices. Each 14-ounce package of four is available for $5.99.
Pumpkin O’s
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin O’s are sweetened with cane & brown sugars and include pumpkin and cinnamon in their ingredient lineup. The toasted brown rice and oats that form the base of these Pumpkin O’s contribute 26 grams of whole grains per serving while also being vegan, gluten-free, and kosher. A 12-ounce box of Trader Joe’s Pumpkin O’s is priced at $2.99.
Pumpkin Spice Pretzels
Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels have built on the classic mini pretzel and covered them in a sweet, pumpkin spice-infused yogurt coating. The pretzels are dotted with Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spiced Pumpkin Seeds and additional spices and sweets, such as real bits of lemon peel to complete this symphony of salty, sweet, crunchy, pumpkin-spiced goodness. A six-ounce bag is offered for $3.49.
Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps
The new Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps are made with real pumpkin, tart cranberries, and a blend of thyme, nutmeg, and turmeric, the crisps offer a slightly dense, crispy texture. A 5.3-ounce box is priced at $3.99.
Pumpkin Cheesecake Croissants
The Pumpkin Cheesecake Croissants are made from squares of all-butter dough, expertly folded to achieve the requisite flakiness of a quality croissant. Those squares are then topped with a scoop of cheesecake-inspired filling made with rich pumpkin purée, cream cheese, pastry cream, and a blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and ginger. The croissants are baked in a 350°F oven for 25-30 minutes. A 7.4-ounce box of two is priced at $4.49.
