Trader Joe's is expanding in Florida and New York.

Two new stores are being added to Trader Joe’s growing roster of locations, with the specialty grocer expanding its presence in the Sunshine State and the Empire State.

The doors will open at the company’s newest Florida location at 8111 Cooper Creek Blvd. in Lakewood Ranch. The Tampa Bay Times reported the 12,000-square foot store, located off of Interstate 75, is the second Trader Joe’s location in the Sarasota-Bradenton area and the 10th in Florida. Grand opening is scheduled for October 26.

The store’s hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. It will feature artwork honoring local parks, schools and wildlife in the region.

In New York, shoppers in the Queens community of Forest Hills now have the opportunity to shop the aisles of Trader Joe’s. The new store at 69-65 Yellowstone Blvd. opened on October 19 and is located in the site of a Key Food Supermarket.

“We’ve consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store in Forest Hills,” Trader Joe’s said on its website. “We are proud to be joining the neighborhood, and to continue our commitment to providing nourishment to the surrounding communities through our Neighborhood Shares program.”
