Lucky number 13 — Trader Joe’s has announced the winners of its 13th annual Customer Choice Awards and the retailer’s fan favorites include some repeat winners and some new items.
Back on top, the overall favorite Trader Joe’s own brand item is once again the Mandarin Orange Chicken meal. It regained the throne last year after previously losing to the popular Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend, which was a runner up this year along with Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Unexpected Cheddar and the seasonal Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese.
Notable new winners this year are the adorable mini ice cream cones in the desserts category and the retailer’s non-dairy oat beverage.
While Trader Joe’s has been having customer’s vote online for its favorite exclusives for some time, many retailers have been engaging with their shoppers to vote on own brand products including Albertsons, CVS, Aldi and others.
Trader Joe’s said the contest received thousands of votes. Winners in the nine categories are:

Favorite Sweets: Hold the Cone! Mini Ice Cream Cones
Favorite Entree: Mandarin Orange Chicken
Favorite Home, Bath & Body Product: Scented Candle Tins
Favorite Produce: Teeny Tiny Avocados
Favorite Snack: Peanut Butter Filled Pretzel Nuggets
Favorite Vegan Product: Soy Chorizo
