Target own brands get ahead of Halloween and more

Target’s own brands team is gearing up for Halloween, launching special, inclusive costumes under its private label lines — but the department also is promoting items for back-to-school and has snuck in a new Threshold Signature bathroom collection.

Getting in front of Halloween, Target introduced its Hyde & EEK! Boutique, a line of costumes for as low as $20 that now are available for pre-order. The costumes are designed to be flexible for kids and adults with sensitivities. They’re easy-to-dress and wheelchair-friendly, with open backs, hidden openings and pockets for abdominal access and removable accessories.

The costumes fit right in line with its other own brand adaptive clothing under its Cat & Jack line and Pillowfort brand of sensory-friendly home goods.

This is the second year Target has introduced its dedicated Hyde & EEK! Boutique. The lineup of costumes includes a unicorn, mermaid, dragon, witch, robot and more.

Target also is promoting its own lines for the back-to-school season, including its Up & Up school supplies and back-to-school apparel under its younger Cat & Jack and More Than Magic lines, Art Class for older, trendy wear, and All in Motion activewear. For college kids, the retailer has items for dorm bedding and decor in its Room Essentials line and clothing in the Wild Fable, Original Use and All in Motion lines.

To go along with in-store promotions around its own brands for BTS, Target also enabled an online School List Assist program to help find items for a school classroom, and Target.com also rolled out virtual, shoppable rooms that are perfect for seeking dorm decor.

In home decor, Target recently promoted over an email blast a new Threshold Signature collection, a line of premium fabrics like bathroom towels, sheets and blankets. It's an addition to its long-running Threshold home goods store brand. The line runs alongside Targets’s brand-new Casaluna line that debuted this month.
