Whole Foods Market’s newest New York store is now opening in Huntington Station on the north shore of Long Island.
Located a 350 Walt Whitman Road, the doors at the 43,916-square-foot store officially opened on July 17. The store’s design emphasizes simplicity, incorporating elements reminiscent of the neighborhood’s commuter heritage, and its product assortment features more than 2,000 local items from the Northeast.
During the store’s grand opening celebration, Whole Foods Market donated a Nourishing Our Neighborhoods van to We All We Got, Inc., along with $3,000 in products. The Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which launched in 2020, aims to enhance the operational capabilities of local food rescue organizations, enabling efficient transport of food from surplus locations to areas with the greatest need.
