Love’s adds new own brand candy, water

Expanding on its Love’s Travel Snacks line that launched in June of last year, the travel stop and convenience chain Love’s has rolled out new candy flavors to the predominantly candy store brand line and a new line of store brand water.

The company said the rollout is in response to what customers were telling them. “Based off customer feedback, we've added new candy options this year and removed two that didn't resonate,” said Mark Romig, director of merchandising, Love’s. “We'll continue to introduce new products to keep our shelves stocked to get our customers back on the road quickly."

The 2019 launch of Love’s Travel Snacks brand included candy like gummy bears, gummy worms, sour gummy worms, fruity orange slices, starlight mints, French burnt peanuts, peach rings, cherry sours and assorted fruit slices, ideal for the summer. The newest additions include apple rings, watermelon rings, sour belts, sour watermelon jacks, saltwater taffy and frosted heart pretzels.

The Love’s Premium Water brand includes electrolytes for added taste and health, and comes in a 100% recyclable bottle. The water is available in many individual bottle sizes and can be purchased in a 24-pack case.

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Oklahoma City, operates more than 520 locations in 41 states. The stores are open 24 hours, a primary stop for truckers and motorists, especially with its 390 truck service centers. The locations offer its own deli, beef jerky and hot coffee options. The travel snacks line adds to its exclusive offerings for consumers.  

"These lines represent Love's entrepreneurial culture of pushing for new products and services to better serve customers," Romig said.
