Kroger is teaming with a communications platform aimed at better supporting frontline employees looking to engage with customers.

The tool is the Fresh Start with Axonify app, where associates can access personalized training tools throughout the day, helping fill knowledge gaps about products and services during periods of the day.

"Kroger can use the Axonify training platform to help support different merchandising initiatives including its private labels,”  Christine Tutssel, chief revenue officer, Axonify, told Store Brands.

“As Axonify delivers personalized, bite-sized bursts of learning right in the flow of work, Kroger can utilize the platform on a variety of initiatives and focused-content including improving knowledge of their private label brands or new offerings.”

Axonify is based in Waterloo, Canada, and the tool is going to be used across the Kroger Family of Companies. The company said the tool is used to further coach and train Kroger associates to make them more knowledgeable in the workforce.

“Across our organization, we have been focusing on investments to improve our associates’ experiences and ultimately create an environment where everyone continues to thrive and advance,” said Senchal Murphy, Kroger’s senior director of training and onboarding. “Fresh Start with Axonify helps us deliver a more personalized, digital experience for associates through purposeful, bite-sized training that enables them to learn and grow in a fun and engaging way.”
