Kroger Debuts Own Brand 'Champion Chip' Snacks
With the start of the professional and college football seasons on the horizon, Kroger is rolling out a new collection of snacks it hopes will be a winner with shoppers.
The Kroger Brand Champion Chip Collection features a new take on popular game-day appetizers and is available for a limited time only. Flavors include Pigs in a Blanket, Mozzarella Sticks, and Buffalo Wing.
"The Champion Chip Collection transforms customer-favorite football season flavors into can't-miss snacks that really are 'all that and a bag of chips," said Mike Murphy, group vice president of Center Store Merchandising at Kroger. "Whether enjoying the game at home, heading to a stadium tailgate or gathering under the Friday night lights, we're looking forward to helping customers tackle their game day plans with these exclusive, limited-time flavors."
Sold under the Kroger brand, the assortment includes:
- Pigs in a Blanket: The bite-sized snack has been reimagined in a classic potato chip, packed with the savory flavors of hot dog, buttery pastry, and a hint of mustard.
- Mozzarella Sticks: These golden, crispy chips offer the cheesy flavor of classic mozzarella sticks, complete with notes of buttery breading and a touch of marinara.
- Buffalo Wing: Bringing all the heat to game day, these rippled chips offer a buffalo-flavored punch.
