H-E-B releases new San Antonio Spurs commercials

In this lighthearted commercial featuring members of the San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio-based H-E-B is promoting its Veggie Spirals pasta line.

San Antonio, Texas-based H-E-B has released a set of new entertaining commercials that feature members of the San Antonio Spurs basketball team enjoying H-E-B’s private brands:

  • In the “New Experiences” video, Kawhi Leonard, Tony Parker, LaMarcus Aldridge and the team’s new acquisition Rudy Gay try H-E-B Primo Picks products for the first time. This rewarding experience prompts the four NBA players to try something else that is daring and new to them — skydiving.

  • In the “Zoodles” video, Parker and Manu Ginobili are joking around while making pasta with the retailer’s new H-E-B Veggie Spirals, which come in three varieties (zucchini, squash and potato), when Aldridge, Paul Gasol and Danny Green enter the scene. Parker’s question, “Did you know that zucchini noodles are called ‘zoodles,’ ” spurs a succession of funny word-play maneuvers by the basketball stars.

H-E-B notes on its website that it is releasing six new 30-second San Antonio Spurs commercials altogether. The retailer has had a relationship with the team for several years.
