Dollar General has launched two new exclusive hair care lines, Texture Theory and Story, that will be available at approximately 6,000 locations this summer.

The new assortments will include a total of 15 products with prices ranging from $5 to $6.

With focus on both value and ingredients, Texture Theory and Story are said by Dollar General to be cruelty-free hair products to customers that are accessible and affordable. Customers can choose from a large product assortment that is vegan and free of parabens, phthalates, silicones and mineral oil.

Texture Theory products, debuting in July, are designed to be mixed, matched and layered to create the perfect routine for a unique mix of curls, coils or kinks. Free from any sulfates and harsh chemicals, Texture Theory is focused on four main ingredients (mango butter, avocado oil, jojoba oil and castor oil). Each formula combines moisture, manageability, strength or style.

The line includes low foam shampoo, moisturizing conditioner, mask treatment, leave-in conditioner, curl refresher spray, styling gel and scalp oil.

The Story hair care line is composed of eight products and available beginning in late August. Products in the assortment are dye-free and dedicated to the unique textures of one’s hair. All products include moisture rich, natural ingredients to drench curl types 3a-4c with ultimate hydration in a modern clean scent.

The line includes hydrating shampoo, hydrating conditioner, conditioner mask, conditioning detangler spray, clarifying scalp wash, soothing scalp oil, twist and set curl cream and moisturizing styling gel
