Do It Best looks to partner with private brand suppliers
Do It Best, the co-op, independent hardware retailer, is expanding its Open Buying Day program via an online submission process with RangeMe, and the retailer said it is seeking suppliers to produce private label.
The company serves thousands of member-owned locations across the country and in more than 50 other countries. It hosts two Open Buying Days a year, with the next event scheduled for an in-person event Nov. 3 at its Fort Wayne, Ind.-based headquarters. Interested companies can apply on the company website for a 20-minute meeting with a merchandise manager to present a product and business plan at the event.
Additionally, until Aug. 6, vendors can apply through RangeMe for a chance to pitch products or partner with the retailer, including for private label.
“We are looking for vendors that can do private label,” said Brian Christophel, associate merchandise manager, Do It Best, through a spokesperson for RangeMe. “That is actually one of the questions on our prospective vendor questionnaire.”
The categories Do It Best is looking to build out programs and products include: apparel, safety, personal care, electronics and entertainment, farm and ranch, home improvement, home health care, cleaning products, home appliances and decor, lawn and garden, housewares, outdoor living, pet products, camping, and sports equipment.
