Casey’s General Stores is billed as the fifth-largest pizza chain in the United States, a major point of difference for the convenience store and gas station that is very clear to say its not serving “gas station pizza.”

The retailer serves millions of consumers across 2,200 locations in 16 states. The pizzamakers are especially trained, make the dough from scratch daily and use locally sourced meats. Casey’s exclusive pizza is what the Slurpee is to 7-Eleven.

Next month, to celebrate National Pizza Month, Casey’s is inviting guests to create their Ultimate Casey’s Pizza for a chance to win free pizza for a year. Runner ups in the contest can win free pizza for six months. The sweepstakes will run Oct. 1-18.

The retailer recently began online ordering, curbside pickup and DoorDash contactless delivery for its pizza and store items. The retailer has said it’s looking to expand its private label offerings, too.

As part of the month-long celebration, Casey’s will also put pizzas on special. The retailer said it sells about 25 million whole pizzas and 75 million slices annually.
