Almond producer launches new formulations

Independent, grower-owned processor of almonds and almond products Harris Woolf Almonds has launched two new ingredient formulations that are available to retailers for private label partnerships.

The items include a GMO-free roasted almond protein powder and an unrefined almond oil made from 100% food-grade almonds.

The products were produced in response to consumer demand for sustainable plant-based protein products. The protein powder is said to have a higher protein count and lower fat content than almond meal, two factors that make it an ideal ingredient solution for plant-based protein blends, sports nutrition, defatted nut butters and other product applications. 

The new almond oil is traceable back to the grower and can be used in cooking, cosmetics or other premium quality products.
