Alene Candle producing face shields
A New Hampshire-based candle company that makes private label candles has adjusted one of its plants to produce face shields for medical workers and first responders dealing with those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alene Candles is headquartered in Milford, N.H., and has a plant there, but has converted part of its New Albany, Ohio-based plant to enable workers to produce more than 80,000 face shields that are going to healthcare workers in the Columbus, Ohio area, as well as the New Hampshire area. The company’s work on the shields was reported by The Columbus Dispatch. Companies looking for shields can fill out a contact form on the Alene Candles website.
The shields are long plastic face mask shields, as opposed to cloth masks. Alene specializes in custom order and store brand candles that are fragranced, including votives and tarts. The company can meet any number of pack-out needs and requirements for consumer packaging such as tissue wrapping, inner sleeves, gift sets and box sets.
