Aldi To Open Seven New Stores

The discount grocer continues its expansion efforts with new locations in five states

Aldi will open seven new stores in five states in late September and early October..

Seven new Aldi stores will celebrate their grand openings as September transitions into October, with new locations in the South and Desert Southwest.

The upcoming openings include:

Sept. 25

  • 3331 Rainbow Drive, Rainbow City, Alabama
  • 2985 Gause Boulevard East, Slidell, Louisiana
  • 2302 West Thomas Street, Hammond, Louisiana
  • 750 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, Mississippi

Oct. 2

  • 17038 West Waddell Road, Surprise, Arizona
  • 1829 East Florence Boulevard, Casa Grande, Arizona
  • 5428 Dogwood Drive, Milton, Florida

As of Sept. 19, Aldi's website listed more than 30 stores across eight states that are in the pipeline to open in the coming weeks. Florida remains the grocer’s focus with 20 new stores in the works, followed by Alabama (3), Louisiana (3), Mississippi (3), Arizona (2), Pennsylvania (2), Georgia (1), and Maryland (1).

As the Batavia, Ill.-based grocer continues to open stores across the U.S., it recently announced plans for a new store in New York’s Times Square. Scheduled to open in 2026, the 25,000-square-foot store will be part of The Ellery, a new 32-story luxury residential building.
