Academy Sports + Outdoors Collaborates with Texas Brewery for Exclusive Collection
One of Academy Sports + Outdoors’ private brands is collaborating with a local Texas brewery for a collection of apparel and outdoor accessories.
The first-ever Magellan Outdoors x Shiner Beer co-branded line will be available Aug. 19, and includes t-shirts and fishing shirts, boat shorts, hats, coolers, koozies, outdoor games, grill accessories, a canopy, an armchair and a keg-shaped charcoal grill. The collaborative items from the two Texas companies start at $4.99.
“The first-ever collaboration between Shiner and Magellan Outdoors offers unique assortments and creative designs to capture the fun of getting outdoors with friends and family,” said Lawrence Lobpries, Academy Sports + Outdoors’ senior vice president of marketing. “This limited-time offering is the ultimate symbol of helping our customers quench their thirst for adventure and fun.”
Founded in Shiner, Texas in 1909, Spoetzl Brewery, which brews Shiner Beer, has grown to become one of the largest independent breweries in the country.

The Magellan Outdoors x Shiner collection is available at Academy’s 262 stores across 17 states and on the retailer’s website.
