7-Eleven heats up holidays with 7-Select treats, peppermint cocoa

7-Eleven rolled out 7-Select holiday treats including limited edition trail mixes with flavors like butter rum toffee and sugar cookie, and new gummy candies.

The private label additions join a new holiday flavored hot beverage at the coffee bar — Candy Cane Cocoa, a hot rich cocoa with peppermint flavor that can be topped with chocolate sauce and a peppermint mocha creamer at the bar.

The coffee can be paired with the new seasonal 7-Select items such as holiday-inspired mini donuts in chocolate-covered cherry and gingerbread flavors, seasonal sandwich cookies in three flavors pomegranate creme, candy cane creme and pecan pie, yogurt-covered pretzels in a sugar plum sprinkle flavor or a classic red, white and green covering, trail mixes in two holiday flavors of butter rum toffee and sugar cookie, and candies like fiery cinnamon bear candy, holiday-themed and snowman-themed gummies.

"People look forward to the holidays and the seasonal treats that go with them," said 7-Eleven proprietary beverages senior product director Jacob Barnes. "Hot cocoa and candy canes, each on their own, are traditional holiday favorites that evoke special memories and feelings. Bringing these two classic flavors together in our Candy Cane flavored Cocoa allows people to enjoy a special treat—a cup of 'comfort and joy'—during this very non-traditional holiday season."

The chain is offering a special deal to honor the launch of the new cocoa beverage — any size hot beverage is just 79 cents when purchased between noon and 7 p.m. The items are available contactless through the 7-Eleven mobile payment option.
