Whole Foods Market Opens New Store in Texas
Whole Foods Market has expanded its presence in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex with the opening of a new store in McKinney.
The 47,918-square-foot store, located at 8701 W. University Drive, offers shoppers a product assortment that features more than 600 local items from Texas and neighboring states.
“It’s an exciting day as we open our doors in McKinney and join this wonderful community,” said Afsaneh Eshaghi, store team leader at Whole Foods Market. “Our team is passionate about great food and great service, and this store brings an exciting mix of high-quality options for every shopper. With features that make shopping here easy and enjoyable, my team and I look forward to welcoming customers and sharing all the incredible food and expertise Whole Foods Market is known for.”
On the morning of the store’s grand opening, shoppers received complimentary coffee from Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters and bites from OHLA! Foods. The first 300 customers in line also received a custom tote bag and a Secret Saver coupon featuring offers up to $100 off. Additionally, the first shoppers who used a Dash Cart received a branded Dash Cart tote bag.
Additionally, on opening morning, All Community Outreach received an all-electric refrigerated van from Whole Foods Market. The organization also received a food donation as part of Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods Program, which aims to enhance the operational capabilities of local food rescue organizations, enabling efficient transport of food from surplus locations to areas with the greatest need.
