Grocery shoppers in West Boca Raton now have a new Whole Foods Market in the neighborhood as the grocer has opened a 35,000-square-foot store in the Uptown Boca shopper center at 9560 Glades Road.

The store, which is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., includes more than 700 locally sourced items from Florida, with each meeting the company’s Quality Standards.

“We’re excited to open our doors in West Boca Raton and offer a space that reflects the vibrant energy and unique tastes of this community,” said Nick Ayoub, store team leader at Whole Foods Market. “This store is a celebration of Florida’s incredible local producers and artisans, featuring fresh seafood, produce, and specialty items that highlight the best of the state. We’re proud to provide a shopping destination where customers can enjoy both exceptional service and a curated selection of high-quality products designed to meet their needs.”

As with other Whole Foods stores throughout the company, this location as part of its grand opening celebration donated food to Palm Beach Harvest. The nonprofit previously received a refrigerated van from the company, which makes regular surplus food pickups from Whole Foods Market stores to help prevent food waste and serve the surrounding community.

Both donations are part of Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport food to areas facing the greatest need: each donated van has the capacity to rescue more than 1 million pounds of food, equating to more than 866,000 meals, per year.
