Walmart debuts new culinary and innovation center

On its Walmart Today blog, Bentonville, Ark.-based Walmart Inc. said that it opened its Culinary and Innovation Center. The test kitchen will allow the retailer to both imagine and test new private label items while also collecting direct feedback from customers and associates.

"Our private brands team, the people behind Great Value, Marketside and the like, hit a home run by making this new facility a reality," said Charles Redfield, executive vice president – food, Walmart.
