Walgreens Launches 'Festive Voice' Party Supplies

Walgreens is launching a new assortment of party supplies in its stores nationwide, with a majority of the products sold under the retailer's Festive Voice own brand.

The new selection includes a range of foil balloons with helium included with the purchase, which will feature popular characters and cartoon favorites, metallic numbers, stars, baby bottles, dinosaurs, mermaids, and more. Shoppers also will find birthday candles, party plates and napkins, plus festive touches like an “It’s My Birthday” sash, cake toppers, banners, shimmering foil backdrops and decorative centerpieces. New items in the assortment start at $1.99.

"Whether celebrating a birthday, hosting a game day gathering, or organizing a holiday hangout, Walgreens has all your party essentials covered," said Marty Esarte, group vice president and general merchandise manager of confections, celebrations, and seasonal at Walgreens. "For years, shoppers have relied on Walgreens for seasonal confections and gifts, custom photo invitations and decor, greeting cards, and gift wrap. By adding even more party supplies and decor options, we’re here to help customers celebrate – no matter the season, occasion, or everyday moment."

New products in the assortment are now rolling into Walgreens stores nationwide and online. In stores, the items will be merchandised in a dedicated party supplies space that features nearly five times more product than previously offered. 

Walgreens is the latest retailer to expand its party supplies assortment following the closure of Party City earlier this year. This past spring, Michaels announced it was adding a selection of party supplies while also enhancing in-store experiences that include birthday parties and private events.

Among the highlights are balloon decorations and gifts for a multitude of occasions, with the balloon selection including 300 new options.
