Grocery wholesaler and distributor United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is expanding its supply chain with the opening of a 125,000-square-foot refrigerated distribution center in Londonderry, NH.

The new facility will help the company expand its distribution of private brand products, as well as relieve pressure at its distribution centers in Chesterfield, NH and Dayville, CT. The distribution center is now open and completed its first outbound shipments on Oct. 3.

“The New England region is a vital and thriving marketplace and the opening of our new Londonderry facility acts as a complement to our other regional distribution centers enhancing our ability to deliver improved service levels for our customers,” said Mark Bushway, UNFI’s chief supply chain officer. “Londonderry strengthens our supply chain and helps deliver UNFI’s differentiated value proposition that helps our customers grow and thrive.”

Based in Providence, RI, UNFI delivers fresh, branded, and private label products to more than 30,000 banner locations across North America.
