TricorBraun Flex and the organization How2Recycle are joining forces to expand customer recycling options.

TricorBraun’s flexible packaging division is partnering with How2Recycle and its standardized recycling labeling system to make recycling of its PolyRecycle packaging easier for consumers. St. Louis-based TricorBraun Flex is joining the system with the flexible polyethylene film packaging material that it said works well with such dry, free-flowing products as specialty food, pet treats and powders.

“We are proud to partner with How2Recycle, joining its mission to take the guesswork out of recycling for consumers, and simplifying the process for our customers who seek sustainable packaging options,” said Glenn Sacco, vice president, commercial, TricorBraun Flex. “We’re ready to help customers with their packaging needs, no matter where they are in their sustainable journey.”

Via the partnership, the PolyRecycle packaging now is available and prequalified for store drop-off by customers in the United States and for curbside in Canada.

How2Recycle’s standardized labeling system is designed to clearly communicate recycling instructions to the public in an effort to make proper recycling easier for consumers. The How2Recycle label includes clear and concise information on how packaging should be prepared for disposal, including its recyclability, as well as any preparation needed and a delineation between different packaging components.
