Trader Joe's has recalled its Organic Acai Bowls over concerns of plastic in the product.

Trader Joe’s is recalling its Organic Acai Bowls over concerts that the product may contain plastic.

In an announcement on its website, the retailer said the recall was issued “out of an abundance of caution. The 10-ounce package is sold under the Trader Joe’s brand and is made with berries, bananas, granola, and dried coconut. 

The product may be returned to a Trader Joe’s store for a full refund. Shoppers with questions may contact the grocer’s customer relations department at (626) 599-3817 or via email.

The grocer did not provide a UPC for the product, best before/best by dates, or states where the product was sold. Trader Joe’s operates more than 500 stores in more than 40 states.
