Tops Friendly Markets gets families into Cinco De Mayo at home

Helping families celebrate Cinco De Mayo and Mother’s Day safely at home, Tops Friendly Markets is promoting a fun recipe to create taco bowls to celebrate Cinco De Mayo that includes the retailer’s Full Circle store brand tortilla chips. Tops is also putting specials on Tops baked goods and flowers for Mother’s Day.

For Cinco De Mayo, the recipe for funny face taco bowls was promoted on the retailer’s site, taking the ingredients in tacos and building out fun, cartoonish faces. The promotion included a deal on Full Circle tortilla chips (two for $5) and rolled out special Cinco De Mayo deals on national brand items in the chips and beer categories, helping consumers who are still looking to celebrate the seasonal event.

Additionally, Tops Friendly Markets began promoting Mother’s Day with specialty strawberry heart cakes, heart-shaped message cookies, pink champagne donuts and ingredients to make “MOM”osas or Bubbly Berry’s (a mocktail recipe). Deals were put on fresh Tops orange juice (two for $5) and Tops coffee.

In addition to the in-store offerings, the company promoted activities and more on Mother’s Day on its Facebook page.

The Williamsville, N.Y.-retailer operates more than 160 stores in in New York, northern Pennsylvania, and western Vermont regions with a heavy assortment of Tops store brands and other private brands.
