Target debuts exclusive dog clothing, accessories line

Research has shown the pet products category to be one with untapped potential for private brands. Minneapolis-based Target Corp. is leveraging this opportunity with Wit & Delight, its new exclusive line of dog beds, clothing and accessories from Kate Arends, a well-known blogger and designer.

“We wanted the line to be premium and considered, and not feel kitschy or like a costume,” Arends explains on Target’s website. “While witty, it still feels refined and timeless. Traditional buffalo plaid and knitted Fair Isle created festive and classic products that are durable and will last long after the holidays have passed.”

Many of the items in the line are priced under $10.

As Arends points out, “You’ll be buying yourself a new tie or sweater for the holidays, why not buy your pet something too?”
