Smart for Life names new chief medical officer
Smart for Life, an emerging health and wellness company in the nutraceutical sector, announced today that it has named Sasson Moulavi, MD as its chief medical officer. The company recently rebranded from Bonne Santé Group after an acquisition, and provides companies both private label and contract manufactured food and health products.
Dr. Sasson E. Moulavi is the founder of Doctors Scientific Organica, a company recently acquired by Smart for Life (f/k/a Bonne Santé Group) based in Riviera Beach, Fla. He is also the medical director of US Medical Care Inc. headquartered in Boca Raton and is a graduate of the University of Toronto where he received his degree as a Doctor of Medicine. He completed post graduate training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Moulavi is a Fellow of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. He has completed the Annual Practical Approaches to the Treatment of Obesity at Harvard University and is a member of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine as well as the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
"For more than 13 years, Dr. 'Sass' has specialized in the study and treatment of bariatric medicine and has directed the operation of multiple weight loss centers in both the United States and Canada," said A.J.
