Schreiber Foods Expanding Production Capacity

The company in January will begin construction on a 168,000-square-foot production facility in Carthage, Mo.

Schreiber Foods is expanding its manufacturing presence in Carthage, Mo., with the forthcoming construction of a 168,000-square-foot production facility that will enhance the company’s process-cheese capabilities in the United States. 

The $211 million project is scheduled to begin in January 2025 and completion is expected in 2027. The new facility will create 150 jobs.

Schreiber Foods has been a part of the Carthage community since 1950, currently employing more than 1,300 people across its existing facilities. This expansion will further solidify the company’s presence in Southwest Missouri and its role as a key contributor to the local economy.

  • Increased production capacity: The expanded facility will enable Schreiber to increase its production output and meet rising demand.
  • Advanced technology: The new facility will be equipped with the latest in manufacturing technology, ensuring efficient and sustainable production practices.

Headquartered in Green Bay, Wisc., Schreiber Foods produces a variety of products including cream cheese, natural cheese, process cheese, beverages, and yogurt. With annual sales of more than $7 billion, the company has more than 10,000 employees and has a presence on five continents.
