11/13/2015

Rockline Industries, a Sheboygan, Wis.-based manufacturer of coffee filters and consumer, medical and commercial wet wipes for private labeling, said it released its seventh annual sustainability report, which outlines the company’s performance relative to the 2015 environmental sustainability goals. The company also announced a new set of 2020 goals designed to demonstrate its continued commitment to sustainability.

Among the key accomplishments highlighted in the report is a 21 percent intensity reduction in energy compared to 2009 levels. Over the past six years, Rockline has focused on energy-efficiency and invested in lighting upgrades, motion sensor installations, roof insulation projects, smart compression systems, battery-electric forklifts, and a geothermal heating and cooling system. Energy reduction also provides the benefit of reducing the company’s carbon footprint and helped achieve a 22 percent intensity reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, the company said.

Rockline also announced a new set of sustainability goals. These 2020 goals target further reductions in energy, greenhouse gas, water, solid waste, landfill and emissions from outbound transportation.

“Much has changed in our nearly 40 years, but what remains the same are our core values and our commitment to sustainability,” said Randy Rudolph, president of Rockline Industries. “We are proud of the work we do every day to strengthen our company and create a better world for us all.”
